|PastureGolf Range Webcam|
This is our pasture golf view. That "point
of astonishment...the meeting of the sky and the earth" (in the
words of Ralph Waldo Emerson), which you can see in the background (depending
on time and weather) is Blockhouse, a classic cinder cone formed of
red, porous rock, located midway between Mt. Adams and Goldendale, Washington.
The south side of the Butte is a red
cinder pit mine. Past
troubles behind them, the owners now proceed with expansion from
20 to 40 acres of the mining site. See past views of the Blockhouse
Butte Pasture Golf Range.
Blowing Dust Potential in the Yakima Valley, Columbia Basin and Foothills of the Blue Mountains zones (Shows Zone WA028, Lower Columbia Basin but not WA502, East Slopes of the Cascades - National Weather Service, Pendleton).
Regarding the new Blockhouse Butte Weather Station
- Wow! This is sooo cool! About as cool as it is in Goldendale this very
moment! But...how come it's not the "Manciata Weather Station"....or "The
Truth Weather Station" or "Ain't No Heaters On This Sideline, Just Short
Sleeves, Baby Weather Station" or..."Low Hard Cuts Recommended Here Weather
Station"...or my personal favorite..."Just Guiness All You Got Weather
Station? - Rage,
Other Picks! Near the town of Palmer in Alaska
is a web cam that varies between a garden view and mountain views. At
times it faces
East towards Byers and Matanuska Peaks not far from
Fishhook Golf Course.
In Washington, South East of Ellensburg, the Badger
Pocket Web cam by Fruit
From Washington shows either wind breaks or hill views.
