Pasture Golf in Cartersville, Virginia at Green Acres Golf Course. This
all natural, 9-hole course is situated on rolling pasture land which originally
was one of the first dairy farms to deliver milk throughout rural Virginia.

The
Farmers Invitational Golf Tournament
was held on April 20, 2008 at "Green Acres," located in Cartersville.
A tradition, which started in 1998 with farmers playing in a cow pasture,
has turned into an annual event on a course once touted on the front page
of the Washington Times and in Golf Magazine (June 2004
edition) as one of the 10 best pasture golf courses in the U.S.
Care of the course rules: Please repair ball marks, lightly
fill divots with sand and carefully replace cow pies.

The Fall Classic Golf Tournament at “Green Acres” is a tradition
begun in 1998 with farmers playing in a cow pasture, that turned into
an annual event. Barb-B-Q and drinks served from 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm.
