Advice: At Christmas time, you can take out a golf cart and chop down any fir tree on the course and take it home. The views are stunning! There is also a small white dog that attacks you as you approach the clubhouse. Only one caretaker for all 18 holes.
Reason for submitting course: Truly, the course's fairways are in the condition of a cow pasture, as rain comes or goes throughout the summer.

"...you are right about the little white dog ... i call him little white trash, or the mad dumper (i have had to clean up 50+ piles of his crap) and he is not even my dog ... the s.o.b bit me to the bone on his first day ... you did not mention Black Dog, who is the salt of the earth, except for the fact that he might scarf up your ball on the 17th green and drop it in the lake, he has been known to do it 4 in a row and grin about it ... but he is old now and somewhat reformed ... but all the golfers love him ... he can also open up almost all known coolers and have a nice cool drink while you are in the club house ... and if you leave your golf glove handy, while in the club house, it is usually a goner which we are glad to replace ... i and my family are the primary owners ... we were part of the original owners (10?) and they ran it into bankruptcy ... we have taken something, that was broken and have tried to do the best we can ... my brother, who is a lawyer by education, does all the outside work and all the book work by himself ... in my book he is a Superman ... name me, one other man, that maintains (cuts the grass, and does all the pesticide and herbicide work) on a 180 acre Golf Course by himself, most have 10 or more employees ... Frank Rawl is a man among lesser men ... all the regulars seem to love him ... both the dogs are foundlings who would probably be dead, if they had ended up at the pound ..." - Lane Rawl, 7/13/04

Sedgewood is not your typical "country club" course. The parking area has a "Valet Parking" sign painted on a piece of plywood but all parking is self-service.

Another unusual feature for a golf course is that they manage shrub growth by burning sections of the course, which causes dry, burned areas with lots of half melted white golf balls that look like roasted marshmallows!
