I just found your page on Stowaway Golf (via Google)
in Stow MA and your web site in general - Good stuff; thanks for making
it available. I have played Stowaway four times in the last eight days.
The pictures are generally good but the prices info is way off. The weekend
price is $10 for nine holes. Weekday its $8 except for the senior rate
before 11 AM which is $5 (which is mostly what I pay). T.H. - 9/15/03

The finest pasture golf that New England offers is found in Stow, Massachusetts
(just 25 miles west of Boston). Bypass the manicured lawns of the championship
courses in the area and look for the turn off to real pastue golf play
at the Stowaway Public Golf sign.

The shots off the greens from what appears to be tall grass are actually
shots from the bunkers.

Five foot tall pin flags are traditional at Stowaway. Some have speculated
that use of the shorter flags creates an illusion of longer distance.
Don't be fooled and over club.

The shots that look like you are peering out of the woods are shots from
the tee boxes.

It may look like Joe is taking a scenic stroll, but with narrow fairways
and plenty of trees, playing Stowaway is not a walk in the park

Elizabeth Brook also known as Stow Brook, empties into the Assabet River.
The Assabet River borders the 5th fairway at Stowaway.
